i put a glass pack muffler on my car, but its not loud at all?
i was told that i would have to wait a lil while and it would work, 40 miles later it didnt work, i was told to get the exhaust really really hot then spray water in the tail pipe and it will do the trick, well i did it with the car running and the car off, but it didnt work. its already on the car, and i dont want to take it to a mechanic. what do i do, and please no bull shit, i dont want to screw up my car. btw my exhaust pipe goes up at a 90 degree angle before it reaches the muffler, it has to go up over the axle
it was loud before when the muffler and half the exhaust system was rusted off, im not taking off the cat converters, thats illegal and im giving the car to my lil brother when i ship off for the navy in january, and the pipe is 2.5 in i think
stock intake, idk what it is
302 V8 engine
cat converters are on and staying on
oh and the car is an 89 lincoln towncar
What kind of engine do you have?
Dual or single exhaust?
Catalytic converter?
What kind of intake?
These are all considerations, you have to have a good air-flow to get loud.
