New exhaust for my car?
Well, just a tip, i bought it and i want to put it on. it's one of the kind that makes it louder. do i need to take the muffler off, or the converter thing in the exhaust, i know that if you take one of them off, it's illegal, but not sure which one. the new tip is about a foot and a half long and is about 5 inches thick, but only about 3 where the exhaust comes through.
and if your wondering what car i have, it's a 96 toyota rav4.. i'm trying to get a better car but it won't happen for a while, so i'll put it on and then if i get a new car i'll put it on there..
i don't know much about cars so if you are an auto mechanic or something and can help me out, i'd appreciate it.
Don't remove the cat. The car will not pass inspection without it.
Just go to a muffler shop and ask them to install it. They can cut your muffler off and weld it in, prob for about $20.00 or so.
