High winds blowing back down flue cause my carrier furnace to shut off.?
I have reset the furnace and spin forward the exhaust fan to restart heating cycle
I had the same problem a few years ago, I got a cap that rotates by the wind direction and it took care of the problem, you should be able to get on at Lowe's or Home Depot, or you may have to go a sheet metal shop and have one made. mine has worked good for now over 5 years. good luck.
