How can i tell if the EGR Valve in my 2000 Cadillac Deville is bad?

@ Mr. KnowItAll because i put up a question on here a few weeks ago asking why my oil cap feels like its pressurized when i take it off and someone said that it could be my EGR valve. I also have an oil leak that seems like its either coming from the main seal or the oil pan. I leak the most while accelerating. Im trying to see if these are all coming from the same problem.
With a vacuum pump hooked up to the vacuum port.
