1984 Camaro z28 help?
i am looking to buy this '84 camaro, but could use some help since i am car illiterate.. any help would be appreciated!
it has a 350
a cam w/lifters edelbrock perfomer cam
engines rebuilt
has chrome parts looks nice
accel dist. (what's this?)
accel plugs and wires all mechanical (what's this?)
iroc daytona hood (fiberglass).
700r4 trany, fuly rebuilt, with racing parts in it,
automatic,
close gear ratios in it,
aluminum drive shaft,
3.23 posi rear got it from 1988ws6, (what's this?)
new rims on it,
intior is very clean,
flowmaster muffler.
it also has shorty headers in it.
would this be worth buying?
how much horsepower would this car have?
well the accel distributor and wires and plugs are junk,in my past experience with these parts i found that the MSD ignition system is the best very simple to hook up and will give you more performance than the other brands,i picked up 2 sec.in 1/4 mile just by adding the MSD ignition 6A to my 80 buick regal.had a 350 chevy in it ,and the rearend gears if you went that way should have bought a 12 bolt from moser engineering,a 3.23 is not that great with the trans and after market parts on engine should have went with a 4.10 or 3.73, dont know how much hp engine has need more info like heads and cam specs,if heads are after market aluminum or stock 350 cast iron,if alum what make,but with out this info would be guessing around 275 hp,and not much more...
