My check engine light is on.?
I have a 99 Toyota Corolla with 67,000 miles. I took it to my mechanic and was told that I have to replace the charcoal canister and sensor. He told me it would cost me $420 to fix. I did top off a couple of times when I filled up my gas tank recently. Could this be the problem. Should I replace these parts or should I ask for a second opinion? Is this to much to pay for the service and parts? What other problems can cause the check engine light to go off?
Sometimes it comes on when you dont close the gas tank all the way.
