1995 Camaro z28 exhaust, cat converter removed, hp gains?
I have a 95 camaro z28. I have k&n cold air intake, hooker super competion shorty headers, flow master exhaust, and hypertech power programmer. I am taking the cat off and putting a straight pipe over it. I can put the cat on for inspection so that's not an issue. My sensors are pre cat so my engine light wont come on either. Just curious how much of a gain it will be? I was going to just gut the cat but I still need it for inspection and a srtaight pipe will flow better. My car is already loud so nobody will even notice honestly. I plan in the next year is to put the old corvette side exhausts for it. The housing for them is pretty expensive though, so I think this will give the best flow for now.
i have the same exact car with pretty much the same things
dual cats, cat back exhaust, port and polish
and slp cold air intake i am making around 315 - 320 to the crank
i would say yours is making 310
but i dont think removing the cat did a lot
