Custom side exhaust pipes, performance?
I just bought a 76 corvette, and I'm wondering if the side exhaust pipes will effect the overall performance. How loud is this thing going to be, and will it hurt the gas mileage?
A high-flow exhaust will never hurt the performance, and will help the fuel mileage a bit,
Your first thing to do for fuel mileage is to put a K&N air filter on it, and make sure that you have the electronic overdrive behind the engine.
Noise-wise, it will not be excessive, but not the stock hum either.
