Ill be driving and with in about 15 minutes of city driving (stop and go) the truck acts like its deprived of fuel, then stalls and will not start again for about 30 minutes. Ill start it up and will drive great for about 15 minutes again and so on. its fuel injected, manual trans, 2wd, 4 cyl 2.3 liter. ive replaced the control module, computer (Brain), fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, gas cap, Alternator, Battery, EGR Valve, Catalytic Converter, And O2 Sensor, also Cleaned injectors and fuel lines very well. its seems to happen even faster when the engine stresses out like ecessive use of the clutch or idling or high rpms.
Just remembered My fuel guage will register how much fuel is left in the tank for about five minutes then drops to zero, until the truck stops and rests.
which fuel pump did you replace, the in-tank or the frame rail pump? stupid design..the in tank pump is the "pick-up pump" the one on the frame is the pressure pump. either one can cause a stall, but usually its the in-tank pump that fails. when it stalls, have someone crank the engine while you beat on the gas tank. more times than not, the car will start if the prob is the in tank pump. the other pump is relatively bullet-proof, but i have seen them fail. poor wire connections are fairly common on the frame pump. if i was a gambler, i would put money on the in tank pump being bad
