What do you think it will run in quarter mile?
I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota R/t 5.9L V8 with JBA headers, Flowmaster full exhaust, K&N air intake, Drag shocks, and a performance chip. I haven't had the chance to race it yet but does anyone know about what it will run a quarter mile? Also it doesn't get that great of traction off the line, so i want to get traction bars. Will they help? Will i still be able to burn out?
Traction bars will help stop axle tramping and give you a less damaging burnout.
As for times based off that engine I am guessing around 15 to 16 seconds, which will also depend on your reaction time and gear changes, being a trayback style body you are going to need some weight over the rear axle to keep it firmly on the ground and keep the traction working in your favour, post your times once you have run it so we can see your progress, keep your octane high and your et's low. good luck
