how will i install my exhaust kit (flowmaster) to stock manifolds?
my car is a 1971 el camino. i ordered a flowmaster exhaust. pipes are already bent and made for the car. its a true dual exhaust. havent tried to install it but im wondering how i will get the front pipes to connect to the stock manifold. i am not sure how big the opening is on the stock manifold...anyone know? the stock is connected with a flange thing, but the pipe size is like 1 inch or bit bigger. help please...
If the kit is the correct one for your ride it should bolt right on....diameter of the pipe being larger than stock is the whole idea(less exhaust back pressure). It's the alignment of the bolt holes....as long as they line up, your good to go....
