Tricking out my camaro or Firebird?
I'm getting a camaro or firebird and want to know how much it would cost to get a few things on my camaro or firebird, which ever I find first for a good price, the lowest price I could get on these
1.A really black paint job with really white racing stripes
2.vertical doors
3.The trans am bumper(if i get the firebird)
4. the push to start button, where they put that button by the ignition and you can turn the car on just by pressing that button as long as the remote of the car is inside the car. I think its also called keyless entry or somethng like that.
5.new exhaust tips.
6.a sunroof on the coupe not the t-top
7. and anything else that sounds good to put in it except sound system and rims cause I already got that covered
I suggest finding a camero or firebird forum and lokking around to get an idea of things.
They are both fbodies so depending on the year the prices will be the same for either a firebird or a camero.
1. Paint jobs always very. It depends on where you take it, how many stages/coats of paint you want. Expect to spend atleast $2,500 for a decent paint job.
2. Vertical doors... that kind of an import thing, but whatever floats your boat. The average cost for the conversion on an import is aobut $1,200. However, the doors to a camero or firebird are really heavy compaired to a civic.. so its a pretty good bet that it will be more expensive than that.
3. You can get bumpers from junkyards for a pretty decent price. Just call some local ones to see who has one and how much they want. Always shop around!
4. MSD makes some decent ignition set ups, but they are a bit more of a pricey name brand. Again, this all depends on your preference.
5. If you are jsut looking for tips, local autozones have some cheap once for 20 bucks. If you actually want more horse power i suggest looking into a new exhaust.
6. Installing a sunroof is beyond expensive, so i'm hoping thats not what you ment. Settle with the t-tops.
7. If you are looking for more power, just add some of the standered both ons... like headers, exhaust.. that sort of thing.
