Some one that real go with superchagers and fuel.?
My plan is to take my 2.3T that came in my 79 cobra mustang (first try before the Svo) and fit it with a supercharger. Because it didn't come with the turbo and it hard to find the parts for that year also I want to be different not a follower. Read about how to do a blow-through turbo setup with a Carburetor so I know a little bit. Don't have the funds to do it so I plan to do a supercharger. The supercharger that I need is not sold to the public (eaton M45) but it comes on high price cars that is hard to find at a junk yard. So I would like to use the thunderbird supercharger (eaton M90). I know mods and changing parts will need to be done so
1) will I be able to use the M90 on my 2.3T or no.
2) what do I need to change for the fuel so it runs right.
3) how much mod to the block,head, and bolts to hold it together needs to be done.
4) any other stuff would be nice
Ok, never turbo or supercharged anything. But, I really doubt the M90 (built for V6 and V8's) would ever work on a 2.3l. Well, not without major modifications anyways. If you don't use what's specifically made for your engine, you pretty much have to be an engineer to calculate what's actually going to work, and you have to do a lot of custom fabrication.
Of course, I've never done anything like this, so I might not know what I'm talking about. Just jam a 351 in there, and you'll get the same effect for cheaper.
