1972 volvo penta AQ130C, the coolant line going from the thermostat housing to the exhaust isn't held in by anything, the top line has a flange that gets bolted to the housing, but the line right underneath it is just sitting in the hole. its a copper line with a flange about 1/2'' up from the end and a rubber gasket over the end and it just slides into the housing, now it leaks(had to take the lines off to repleace exhaust manifold) how is it suppose to seal and be held in their if theirs no flange to bolt in on with? the tube is not flared i am dumbfounded i have never seen this before
Yep, press in fitting, you might wanna clean the housing where the tube and rubber ring goes in and check the rubber ring. Clean it all up , some little grease and re press the line in... snug.
