Why would United States Citizens choose to purchase a foreign made automobile?
To me this is extremely foolish. Sure you may save 1000 or 2000 thousand dollars up front.....but what about the "hidden" costs. Costs like a decline in American manufacturing, a decline in the middle class in America, and a ultimately a decline in American power world-wide. This is a no-brainer. Why buy a Mercedes or Lexus when you could buy a Cadilac or Lincoln. Why buy a BMW motorcycle when you could simply buy a Harley. And why buy a Toyota when you could buy a Ford or Chevrolet. And dont forget that even though some of these foreign automobiles may be manufactured in the U.S.A, the Profits (money) does not go back into our economy, it goes back to there home countries.
Let me give it to you strait dave. American car company's build sh!t boxes!! I drive a BMW because it is a better engineered and built car then anything to roll out of Detroit! I ride a BMW motorcycle because they build the finest bikes in the world. I will not spend my money on an inferior product just because it's made in the USA. When US company's start building quality products I will buy them, until then..... my money goes elsewhere.
