I am replacing the exhaust components following the catalytic converter on my '85 Chevy C10 pickup. There is a short piece of exhaust pipe between the converter and the muffler. I removed the C clamp holding the pipe to the converter and the pipe won't budge. Due to the size/shape of the converter it looks impractical to try to manually chisel or use some type of expander to get the pipe off. I assume the converter is stainless steel thus the exhaust pipe is probably deformed enough to be crimped to the converter. I don't have access to air power tools like air chisels etc. I have soaked it with PB Blaster but it's still firmly stuck on there. Any ideas how I can get this off would be appreciated. Thanks
if you have access to a dremel or power drill you could slice the pipe with a carbon cutting wheel then peel it back with either diagonal cutters or a chisel and hammer.
