my dad used to have a 96 playmouth voyager with same prob. we used to shift the gear to "D" and it wouldnt move at all. it seemed as if it was still in "N". we were recommended changed the trans fluid, but it didnt really help anyhow.
later we figured out the whole transmission was wrecked and we had to put a new trans which would cost alot (dont excacly remember how much). basically we didnt get it fixed and sold the car out as it was, because the it wasnt worth to spend tha much on the car.
