How long does 20 mg of citalopram stay in the system?
I was given citalopram by a doctor to treat anxiety and depression. So i took one 20mg tablet at 3:00 on tuesday and had really bad side effects. And the doctor said if i suffered from bad effects to stop taking it.
So i was wondering how long will it take for the citalopram to exit my system?
Well after i took the pill, i felt a bit dizzy and a little out of it. yesterday they were reduced but i had a headache. I still feel tired and not quite myself.
Citalopram is a longer acting drug. It will take approximately three days for it to clear out of your system to below a significant amount, but within about one and a half days the amount will be significantly reduced. It's rare for side effects to kick in immediately with the first dose of a drug, what exactly was the problem that you had?
